As the leaders and managers of the Foundation, Directors have the following duties, responsibilities, and privileges: 

  • Serve a three year term, unless elected to a replacement position;
  • Make a substantial, individual contribution to the Foundation; collectively, the Board of Directors is responsible for supporting the operating costs of the Foundation;
  • Actively assist in annual fundraising events through ticket sales and time;
  • Attend all scheduled board meetings, with no more than two unexcused absences per year;
  • Actively serve on one permanent and one activity committee of the Foundation;
  • Assist the Executive Committee in hiring, evaluating and determining the continued employment of the Executive Director;
  • Determine the annual budget and approve operating expenses and grants;
  • Elect officers, new and continuing directors and non-voting members of the Foundation; and
  • Cultivate friends of the Foundation and show stewardship towards donors.

Non-voting members of the Foundation are elected by the Board of Directors and have the following duties, responsibilities, and privileges: 

  • Make an annual contribution of at least $100;
  • Serve on at least one committee of the Foundation;
  • Assist in fundraising activities of the Foundation;
  • Receive Board agendas and minutes and may attend Board meetings; and
  • Provide input on discussions at Board meetings, as well as within their committees.
